Why we build Bond?
Why we build bond?
Bond is created to address the issues present in existing centralised social networks, including data ownership and privacy, opaque centralised incentive mechanisms, and poor composability and interoperability. As the infrastructure of the Web3 ecosystem, Bond provides a decentralised, smart-contract-based social graph underlying protocol and off-chain decentralised oracle networks for various projects, while also providing an effective and flexible incentive tool for projects to promoting the establishment and development of social networks and creating a secure and trustworthy social platform for users.
What problems we are solving?
Bond solves the problems of existing social networks in the following ways:
Data ownership and privacy
Traditional centralised social networks hold a large amount of user data, which leads to problems with data privacy and ownership. Bond stores users' social relationships and content on the blockchain, ensuring that users have control over their own data and increasing data privacy protection.
Decentralised incentive mechanism
The incentive mechanism of centralised social networks is opaque and often determined unilaterally by the platform. Bond introduces a decentralised incentive mechanism that completes reward calculation and distribution through smart contracts and off-chain oracles, improving the transparency and fairness of incentives.
Composability and interoperability
Bond supports interoperability with other blockchain projects and protocols, improving the composability of the entire ecosystem. This helps to create more innovative applications and promote the development of the Web3 ecosystem.
Lowering user barriers
Bond lowers the threshold for user interaction with smart contracts by optimising business processes, such as project parties paying gas fees for users. This helps attract more users to participate in Web3 social media activities and promotes the adoption of decentralised social networks. Additionally, Bond uses a variety of centrality algorithms to calculate the value and contribution of users in the network, based on their social network relationships, enhancing user trust and engagement with the network.
Lowering project barriers
Bond effectively lowers the threshold for projects to build and deploy decentralised social applications by providing a simplified and fast integration process. Bond also provides projects with a variety of customisable social relationship incentive solutions, allowing projects to incentivise social activity through customised reward models and token economy models.
